1.1 Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Book’D services, including booking workspace through our website, mobile application, or in-person, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

1.2 Service Description

Book’D provides hourly rental of professional workspace for independent beauty professionals and content creators. Our services include:

• Private beauty suites
• Open styling stations
• Podcast and content creation studio
• Associated amenities and common areas

1.3 User Eligibility

To use Book’D services, you must:

1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Provide accurate and complete registration information
3. Maintain valid payment method on file
4. Hold appropriate licenses for services you provide to clients (where applicable)

1.4 Independent Contractor Status

Users of Book’D are independent contractors and NOT employees, agents, or representatives of Book’D. Book’D does not control the manner or method by which users provide services to their clients. Users are solely responsible for their own business operations, taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws.

2.1 Booking Process

All bookings must be made through our official booking system at just-booked.com or through our authorized booking channels. Walk-in availability is not guaranteed.

• Accepted payment methods: Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)
• Promo codes and credits applied automatically when available

3.2 How to Cancel

Book’D reserves the right to cancel bookings due to facility emergencies, maintenance, or safety concerns. In such cases, users will receive a full refund or credit at their choice.

4.1 Definition

A “no-show” occurs when a user does not arrive within 30 minutes of their scheduled booking start time without prior cancellation.

4.2 No-Show Consequences

• First no-show: No refund; $10 credit offered for rebooking within 7 days
• Second no-show (within 90 days): No refund; no credit
• Third no-show (within 90 days): Account flagged; future bookings require 48-hour advance payment

4.3 Exceptions

Emergency exceptions may be granted at Book’D’s sole discretion for documented medical emergencies, family emergencies, or severe weather conditions. Contact us within 24 hours with documentation.

5.1 General Conduct

All users agree to:

• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Respect other users, staff, and clients
• Keep noise levels appropriate for a professional environment
• Follow all posted facility rules and signage

5.2 Space Cleanliness

Users must leave their assigned space in the same condition as found:

• Dispose of all trash in designated receptacles
• Wipe down surfaces and equipment used
• Remove all personal items at end of booking
• Report any spills or damage immediately

 

Excessive cleaning required after a booking may result in a $50 cleaning fee.

5.3 Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Smoking, vaping, or use of illegal substances anywhere on premises
• Alcohol consumption (except at designated events)
• Subletting or sharing booked space with non-clients
• Operating equipment you are not trained to use
• Recording other users or staff without consent
• Soliciting other users’ clients
• Any activity that violates local, state, or federal law

5.4 Equipment & Supplies

• Users are responsible for bringing their own professional tools and supplies
• Basic amenities (chair, mirror, outlets, WiFi) included
• Damage to Book’D equipment will be charged to user’s payment method

6.1 Licensing

Users providing professional services requiring state licensure (barbering, cosmetology, esthetics, nail technology, etc.) must:

• Hold a valid, current license issued by the State of Illinois
• Display license upon request
• Notify Book’D immediately of any license suspension or revocation

6.2 Insurance

Users are strongly encouraged to maintain their own professional liability insurance. Book’D’s insurance does not cover users’ professional services to their clients.

6.3 Taxes

Users are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on income earned through services provided at Book’D. Book’D does not withhold taxes and will issue 1099 forms where required by law.

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. BY USING BOOK’D SERVICES, YOU ARE WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.

7.1 Assumption of Risk

User acknowledges that the use of Book’D facilities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: slip and fall accidents, equipment malfunction, exposure to chemicals or products, and interactions with other users and their clients. User voluntarily assumes all such risks.

7.2 Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, User hereby releases, waives, and discharges Book’D, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from User’s use of Book’D facilities, including but not limited to:

• Personal injury or death
• Property damage or theft
• Financial loss or business interruption
• Claims arising from services provided to User’s clients

7.3 Indemnification

User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Book’D from any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from User’s use of Book’D facilities or User’s provision of services to clients.

7.4 Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Book’D’s total liability to User exceed the amount paid by User for the specific booking giving rise to the claim. Book’D shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

8.1 Information We Collect

• Personal Information: Name, email, phone number, billing address
• Payment Information: Credit card details (processed securely via Stripe)
• Usage Data: Booking history, preferences, communications
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information

8.2 How We Use Your Information

• Process bookings and payments
• Send booking confirmations and reminders
• Provide customer support
• Send promotional communications (with consent)
• Improve our services
• Comply with legal obligations

8.3 Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Payment processors (Stripe) to process transactions
• Email/SMS providers to send communications
• Law enforcement when required by law

8.4 Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting info@just-booked.com.

9.1 Consent to Communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive:

• Booking confirmations and reminders (transactional)
• Promotional messages about Book’D services (if opted in)

9.2 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply.

9.3 Opt-Out

To stop receiving promotional messages, reply STOP to any message. Transactional messages (booking confirmations) cannot be opted out of while maintaining an active account.

Memberships are billed monthly on the date of enrollment. Memberships auto-renew unless cancelled.

10.3 Cancellation

Memberships may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds.

11.1 Program Details

• Referrer receives $10 credit when referred person completes first booking
• Referred person receives $15 first-time credit
• No limit on number of referrals

11.2 Credit Restrictions

• Credits expire 90 days after issuance
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash
• One credit may be applied per booking
• Self-referrals prohibited

12.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact Book’D at info@just-booked.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

12.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.3 Jurisdiction

Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By creating an account, completing a booking, or using Book’D services, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, Policies, and Liability Waiver.
