Do I need to sign a long-term contract to use Just-Booked?
No. Just-Booked is designed for flexibility. Every booking is independent. You can rent a space for one hour, one day, or one week, and then never book again if you choose. There are no automatic renewals, no minimum usage requirements, and no early termination fees. This is especially valuable for professionals who need a salon space for rent only during peak seasons or occasional weekends.
How do I get paid as a host?
Once you list your space and a renter books it, the payment is processed through Stripe. Just-Booked holds the funds until the booking is completed (to ensure the renter shows up and there are no major issues). Within 24 hours after the booking ends, we release your earnings to your connected bank account or debit card. You can see a detailed transaction history in your host dashboard. If you list a salon booth rental, you will receive payouts automatically without any manual invoicing.
Can I book a space on the same day?
Every booking is covered by our Host Protection plan. If accidental damage occurs, for example, a broken mirror, stained carpet, or damaged microphone, you must report it through the platform within 24 hours of the booking’s end. Provide photos and a description. We will review the claim and, if approved, reimburse you for repair or replacement costs up to the policy limit. Intentional or grossly negligent damage is not covered. This protection is especially important for hosts offering a salon booth rental where equipment is frequently used.
How are disputes between renters and hosts handled?
We encourage both parties to communicate first. If a resolution cannot be reached, you can open a dispute ticket through our support system. A member of our team will review the booking details, messages, and any evidence (photos, timestamps). We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days. Both parties have the right to appeal a decision.
What types of spaces are prohibited on Just-Booked?
We only allow professional, commercial-grade spaces. The following are not permitted: residential apartments, houses, or rooms; shared living spaces (dormitories, hostels); outdoor spaces without proper shelter and liability insurance; spaces that violate local zoning or health codes; any space used for illegal activities. Hosts must certify that their space meets all local regulations for the services being offered (e.g., salon licensing, fire safety). This ensures that when you book a salon space for rent, you are in a legitimate, safe environment.
How much does it cost to list my space?
Listing a space is completely free. You only pay a commission when a booking is completed. The commission rate is 15% of the booking subtotal (excluding taxes). If your space does not get booked, you pay nothing. There are no monthly listing fees or hidden charges. So listing your salon booth rental costs you nothing upfront.
Is Just-Booked available outside the United States?
Currently, Just-Booked operates only in the United States, with active inventory in Chicago, Illinois. We plan to expand to Houston, Texas, followed by other major cities.
