Professional Standards

  • Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on yourself and Book’D.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, fellow renters, and staff.
  • Be punctual for bookings; late arrivals affect other renters.

Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain all licenses required by the State of Illinois for services provided.
  • Comply with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) standards.
  • Follow all applicable health, sanitation, and safety codes.
  • Display licenses as required by law.
  • Report any license suspensions, revocations, or disciplinary actions to Book’D immediately.

Sanitation & Hygiene

  • Sanitize all tools, chairs, and work surfaces between each client.
  • Use only approved disinfectants and sanitizers.
  • Dispose of single-use items properly after each use.
  • Wash hands before and after each client.
  • Do not work if you have a contagious illness.

Business Integrity

  • No Fraud: Do not book under false identity, misrepresent services, or engage in deceptive practices.
  • No Chargebacks: Initiating fraudulent chargebacks is prohibited and may result in legal action.
  • No Solicitation: Do not solicit other renters’ clients or engage in predatory business practices.
  • Respect Property: Treat Book’D property, equipment, and the spaces of others with care.

Violations & Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Verbal warning (documented)
  • Written warning
  • Fines (per penalty schedule)
  • Suspension of booking privileges (7–90 days)
  • Termination of membership without refund
  • Permanent ban from Book’D facilities
  • Legal action for serious violations, damages, or unpaid amounts
